General Admission Ticketing
General admission ticketing for venues of every size.
Think your venue is too small for a ticketing system? ThunderTix scales down as gracefully as it scales up — one show or a weekend festival, 30 tickets or 30,000, all while you keep full control of your revenue.

tickets per event — the system scales to fit
ticket types per event, each with its own capacity
Flexible scheduling, custom naming
Create a single event or a full schedule of recurring performances. Tailor your public calendar so accessibility notes and special performances stand out clearly to patrons.
Each date can carry:
- Its own total capacity
- A custom name — “Matinee,” “Sensory-Friendly Performance,” or “ASL-Interpreted Show”
Unlimited ticket types with total control
Every GA event can include unlimited ticket types. For each one, you control the name, the price, and its own capacity — so you can build sections like VIP, Left, or Standing Room without reserved seating.
- Name and price per ticket type
- Individual capacity for each section
- Optional fee waivers for discounted or free tickets
Two named GA ticket types — each with its own price and capacity, all-in pricing, and an optional donation ask.
Built-in timed entry & streamlined check-in
For daily or hourly events — museum visits, guided tours, escape rooms, exhibit entries — create recurring time slots with a maximum number of attendees per interval. Availability updates automatically as tickets sell, with no third-party plugins required.
When it’s time to check guests in, your team has fast, reliable tools at hand:
- Scan tickets with the ThunderTix iOS or Android app on phones or tablets
- Work the electronic guest list for quick check-in by name or order
- Deploy handheld barcode scanners at the gate for high-volume throughput
Built-in urgency that drives action
When supply is limited, urgency matters. ThunderTix encourages faster decisions by showing availability at the right moments — without pressure tactics.
- Set a low-inventory threshold and we’ll display tickets remaining once availability dips (e.g. “Only 5 left!”)
- When a section like VIP, Center, or Left reaches its own capacity, we automatically show it as sold out
- The quantity dropdown caps at the exact number remaining — if 3 spots are left, 3 is the max a patron can pick
Waiting lists for sold-out events
For high-demand events, a built-in waiting list keeps your seats filled and your patrons happy. When an event sells out, customers can add themselves and tell you:
- Their name and contact info
- How many tickets they want
- Whether they’re willing to sit separately (for GA-style sections)
As tickets free up, notify the next person in line with a custom time window to buy. If they don’t act in time, the system automatically moves to the next patron.
Semi-private dates & pre-sales for special access
Need an invite-only performance? Mark individual dates as semi-private within a public event. These dates:
- Don’t appear in the public list of performances
- Stay purchasable by anyone with a direct link (e.g. from an email invite)
It’s the perfect way to handle donor previews, member nights, or closed-group bookings without building a separate event. Pair semi-private links with password-protected pre-sales to reward loyal fans, subscribers, and VIPs with early access.

Even venues offering only general admission can sell season bundles entirely online. Patrons buy full-season, build-your-own, or flex-pass GA packages right from your public event pages — no mailing paper brochures, waiting for checks, or hand-entering orders at the box office.
Customers get instant confirmation, and your team saves hours of administrative work.
Sell more season subscriptionsMore than performances: classes, camps & registrations
General admission isn’t just for shows. Many organizations use GA events to manage programs of every kind:
Assign a unique genre like “Class” to separate these from your main-stage season. Then customize the action button patrons see — so instead of “Buy Tickets,” it can say “Register,” “Sign Up,” or “RSVP.” That small detail guides your audience with clarity and professionalism.

Keep more of your revenue
ThunderTix charges a low monthly subscription instead of taking a percentage of your sales. You keep more of what you earn — no surprise deductions, no inflated service fees.
No cut of ticket sales
A flat monthly subscription replaces percentage-based service fees. What you sell is what you keep.
You set the fees
Add a modest per-ticket fee (e.g. $1–$1.25) to offset your subscription or card processing — you decide how and when it applies.
Waive fees when it matters
Turn fees off entirely for discounted or free tickets, keeping prices transparent and fair for your audience.
