Connecting Facebook and Sharing Events with AI in ThunderTix
Transcription :

Today I’m going to show you how to connect your Facebook page to ThunderTix and use AI Social Sharing to promote your events.

This integration is one of the easiest ways to market your events without adding more work to your team. Many organizations operate with small teams and may not have a dedicated marketing manager, which can make it difficult to consistently maintain a social media presence.

If you already promote events on Facebook, you may spend a significant amount of time creating Facebook posts, updating event details, adding ticket links, and making sure everything remains accurate. With the ThunderTix Facebook integration, much of that work can be handled directly from your ThunderTix account.

In this walkthrough, I’ll show you how to connect your Facebook page, generate an event post with AI, customize or schedule the post, and see what customers experience when they click the ticket link.

Let’s get started.

When you log in to ThunderTix, you’ll begin in Event Manager. Before you can publish an event to Facebook, you first need to connect your Facebook page to ThunderTix.

Open Account Settings by clicking the cog icon, and then select “Integrations and Pixel Tracking.”

On this page, you’ll see a button labeled “Connect Facebook Page.” Click this button to begin the connection process.

If you are not already logged in to Facebook, you’ll be prompted to sign in before continuing. Once Facebook opens, click “Edit Settings.” This will display the Facebook pages that you can include in the posting process.

Select the page your organization uses to promote its events. For this example, I’m going to select the Velvet Paw Theater page. After selecting the appropriate page, click “Continue.”

Facebook will then ask you to review the permissions being granted to the ThunderTix posting service. Once you’ve reviewed them, click “Save.”

You’ll see a confirmation indicating that your page has been connected to the ThunderTix posting service. Click “Got It” to return to your ThunderTix account.

Back in ThunderTix, you should see a message that says “Successfully Connected to Facebook.” This confirms that the integration is ready to use.

If you don’t see the successful connection message, you may need to repeat the process or review your Facebook account settings. You can also contact the ThunderTix support team for assistance.

From this page, you can reconnect your Facebook account or disconnect it from ThunderTix at any time.

Now that Facebook is connected, let’s create our first event post.

Go to the Events tab and select “Event Manager.” Then, open the event you want to promote. For this example, I’m going to select an event called Life in Backcountry, Indiana.

Once you’ve opened the event, select the “Marketing” tab near the top of the page.

Inside the Marketing section, you’ll see a button labeled “AI Social Sharing.” Click this button to view the available social media options.

ThunderTix already supports a similar integration with X, formerly known as Twitter, so the same general posting process can also be used for X. You’ll also see an option for Instagram, which is still being developed and will be available in the future.

For this walkthrough, select “Post to Facebook.”

ThunderTix will use AI to automatically generate a description based on your event. It will also include the event’s primary image, which is the first image attached to the event in ThunderTix.

Before publishing the post, you can review and customize everything that was generated.

The AI-generated description is fully editable. You can shorten it, rewrite sections, or add your own call to action. For example, you might add a sentence such as “Buy your tickets today.”

When you’re not satisfied with the first description, you can select “Regenerate Post.” ThunderTix will create another version of the event description for you to review.

The event image is also customizable. Although ThunderTix automatically uses your primary event image, you can replace it with another image or remove it from the post entirely.

Once the post looks the way you want, you can decide when it should be published.

You can publish the post immediately or schedule it for a later date and time. Scheduling can be helpful when an event has been created but is not yet available for purchase. For example, you can schedule the Facebook post to publish at the exact time tickets go on sale.

To schedule the post, select the scheduling option and choose the desired date and time.

For this example, I’m going to publish the post immediately. Select “Post Now,” and then confirm by clicking “Post to Facebook Now.”

Once the post has been successfully published, ThunderTix will display a confirmation message. You can select “Click to View Your Post Now” to open the post directly on Facebook.

On Facebook, you’ll see the event image and the description generated through ThunderTix. The post will also automatically include a link that allows customers to purchase tickets.

When a customer clicks the “Buy Tickets” link, they’ll be taken directly to the ThunderTix page for the event featured in the post. The page will display only that specific event, making it easy for the customer to select a performance and complete their ticket purchase.

The purpose of this feature is to help drive ticket revenue by making social media promotion faster and easier. You don’t need to log in to your social media account separately, create a custom post template, write the entire description yourself, or manually add the event’s ticketing link.

Instead, you can open the event in ThunderTix, allow AI Social Sharing to generate the post, customize it as needed, and publish it directly to Facebook.

You can also schedule the post as soon as you create the event. Simply open the Marketing tab, generate the post, and choose the date and time when you want it to appear.

That’s the full walkthrough of the ThunderTix Facebook integration and AI Social Sharing feature. We hope this tool helps your organization simplify its marketing workflow, reach more patrons on Facebook, and promote events more consistently.

Thank you, and have a great day.
