We are a strictly volunteer based organization. Naturally, my first priority was to thoroughly learn the box office process. That process was manually intensive and utilized a voicemail and email based system to process ticket orders from patrons. We needed to make it easier for both the patrons and for the volunteers working the box office. As a non-profit organization with a limited budget, it is imperative that we spend intelligently. The new system needed to have low start-up costs, be user friendly and offer a full spectrum of options. When I found Thundertix, I was thoroughly impressed with their service offering. As a company that has roots in both Gloucester and New Bedford Massachusetts and in Key West Florida, The Yankee Capts has a very widespread customer base, all hoping to be the first to reserve a spot on their trip of choice. Opening Day for our Key West Season is infamous for a heavy volume of calls from all over the country, people trying to be the first to get their choice of what they consider to be the best fishing positions available on the boat.
Thunderdata systems was able to combine all the features we requested to easily accommodate our clients, both online and for over-the-phone reservations. Having online reservations as an option to our customers cut down on the number of incoming calls, making opening day far less stressful for our employees.
